Portal to the Public Implementation Manual Now Available
The Portal to the Public collaborating partners (Pacific Science Center, Explora, North Museum of Natural History and Science, and Institute for Learning Innovation) have officially announced the publication of the Portal to the Public Implementation Manual. Portal to the Public is a program designed to assist informal science education institutions as they seek to bring scientists and public audiences together in face-to-face interactions that promote appreciation and understanding of current scientific research and its application.

The Implementation Manual is a resource for institutions and individuals planning to implement a Portal to the Public program, and it provides guidance on relationship building, professional development, program support, and evaluation. The Manual includes the Catalog of Professional Development Elements and shares the most important results of the Portal to the Public project. To download a PDF copy of the Implementation Manual for a cost of $40, go to pacificsciencecenter.org/portal.
