Staging the NSF ISE proposal cycle

Last year, NSF moved to a once-a-year submission deadline for proposals to the Informal Science Education program. During a discussion November 1 at the ASTC Annual Conference in Fort Worth, 30 people shared their observations and reflections, raised questions, and assembled suggestions for those who want to develop a competitive proposal. The facilitators - Kate Haley-Goldman, Carol Inman, Randi Korn, and Mary Marcussen - have summarized the discussion in a highly readable memo, "Staging the NSF Cycle: Strategies for Proposal Development and Submission" (PDF). Many thanks to the authors and contributors for a thought-provoking and useful document.
