Through programs (including over 100 community conversations), a 1,500 square foot exhibition opening in January 2011, and research, this unique project will engage museum visitors, researchers, policymakers, and caregivers of young children in deliberations around the latest early childhood development research. It will also build on an increased understanding of the importance of early childhood development to expand civic engagement around this urgent social issue. This project is a collaboration among the Science Museum of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota’s Center for Early Education and Development, and the nonpartisan civic engagement group, Public Agenda.
