MarshAccess

March 02, 2010 by Jean Balutanski

MarshAccess seeks to engage adults with a variety of disabilities and/or age-related limitations in science activities based in the Meadowlands marsh through interactive and informative programs such as the human impact on the Meadowlands and the nature and importance of the Meadowlands estuary habitat.

MarshAccess programs take place at the Meadowlands Environment Center and NJMC Center for Environmental and Scientific Education, which are located at De Korte Park Plaza in Lyndhurst, NJ. MarshAccess programs are designed to be accessible in classroom, laboratory, and outdoor field settings, and incorporate hands-on activities, adapted science tools, and assistive technologies.
