On February 27, 2010, over 500 visitors were welcomed to the North Museum of Natural History & Science to experience the best of two NSF-funded projects. While the exhibition Charlie & Kiwi’s Evolutionary Adventure (Life Changes) engaged elementary children in the Museum’s gallery, POP scientists illustrated their research with activities and demonstrations on diverse topics such as natural selection, genetics, adaptation, and camouflage. This Portal to the Public event was called Little Changes, Big Differences. The participating scientists worked together to prepare their programs utilizing the POP conceptual framework as professional development.
