The Program in Education, Afterschool and Resiliency (PEAR) in partnership with the Exploratorium and University California-Berkley, has been implementing the ILSA project. In phases 1&3 we conducted survey among 1300 science afterschool programs, and interviews with 75 program leaders. The third phase consists of case-studies in 8 afterschool programs in California and Massachusetts. Phase 1 data are fully analyzed and offer interesting findings in program evaluation, curriculum, staff development. Phase 3 data are also analyzed. We are currently working on publishing a book on case-studies, which will become a reference book for all afterschool science practitioners, researchers and evaluators.
