Family Engineering for Elementary-Aged Children and Parents

February 26, 2010 by Neil Hutzler

Modeled after the popular Family Math and Family Science programs, Family Engineering will introduce parents and elementary-aged children to the exciting world of engineering by engaging families with fun, hands-on engineering activities. The Family Engineering program is designed to be appropriate for use with geographically, socioeconomically and culturally diverse families. The Family Engineering Activity Guide is intended for use in a wide variety of settings – home, school, and museums, and the activities are intended for use by parents, teachers, engineering professionals, college engineering students, professional engineers’, and informal educators from museums, after school programs, scouts, etc.
