Working in an MMO

Blue Mars Science Center/Martian Boneyards

February 26, 2010 by Jodi Asbell-Clarke

Creating a hollywood caliber game in a brand new MMO is exciting and pushes new boundaries in what we can do as an educational partner and what we think about learning and science education.

Martian Boneyards is an attempt to go where the learners are, engage them in hard fun, and embed scientific collaboration and learning in a game they choose to play.

The Educational Gaming Environments group (EdGE) at TERC believes that gaming environments may offer ways to re-connect the public with scientific activity and may naturally promote productive scientific collaboration.

Come join in the game later this spring.
