LEAP into Science: Overview

LEAP into Science: A National Museum/Library Collaboration

February 26, 2010 by Dale McCreedy

LEAP into Science: A National Museum/Library Collaboration, awarded in August 2007, is building a model partnership to promote family and after-school student engagement and achievement in science and literacy. This Philadelphia-based partnership between The Franklin Institute and Free Library of Philadelphia will demonstrate how museums and libraries across the country can enhance the capacity of urban communities to engage families with school-aged children (K-4) in STEM content and children’s literature, and promote STEM achievement through community-based institutions.
