The Power of Prototyping

Asteroids

February 28, 2010 by Paul Dusenbery

The Space Science Institute’s Asteroids exhibit (or “Comets, Asteroids, Meteors: Great Balls of Fire”) had its prototyping event at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History in January. I was thrilled with the role that our eighth grade advisors played in helping to refine the project’s key ideas and take away messages. They were also able to participate in the formative evaluation. An eye-opening experience indeed. I hope that they will remember this experience for years to come and understand the key role prototyping plays in the development process.
