Scientists Engage with Public Audiences

Portal of the Pacific

March 01, 2010 by Dennis Schatz

Portal to the Public encourages face-to-face interaction by scientists with members of the public — all around current science and technology.

Pacific Science Center has developed many different program platforms for this interaction. An example is our special event Research Weekends where 40 to 50 scientists staff tables with activities that help explain the science they do. We provide professional development for the scientists that enhances their ability of communicate with a wide variety of public audiences.
