In Their Own Voices
The Philadelphia Informal Science Education Collaborative (PISEC) is creating a publication called “In Their Own Voices” —twelve case studies of families that have been involved in successive NSF-funded outreach programs. The publication, which will be produced in print and online, offers anecdotal evidence of the power of museum/community partnerships and of science programs for a family audience. Clickable quotes in the online version will allow readers to hear the words in the actual voices of the participants. The publication, which is designed for museums and community agencies, provides moving evidence of the significant positive impact of programming over time.
