Science Communication Fellows are science-based professionals who have been certified by Pacific Science Center as current science ambassadors and excellent communicators. This program was developed as part of Portal to the Public, an NSFISE project, to support sustained engagement with local scientists. Fellows participate in a series of four professional development workshops focused on building the skills to effectively engage public audiences and refine key messages related to their areas of expertise. Each Fellow develops a hands-on educational activity directly related to their area of work and participates in a minimum of three public programs per year.
