Science is for Everyone

Science in the Stacks

March 02, 2010 by Lorna Rudder-Kilkenny

Children in one of our Saturday Science Labs were exploring electricity and electric circuits. Boys and girls, working in small groups, were attempting to build different kinds of circuits to light a bulb. One group was encountering some difficulties. One of the children said they should try different arrangements in a very organized way, keeping track of wire colors and connection points. One of the children looked up and said “I’m being a scientist!” The group successfully lit the light bulb.
